Havana will host the 39th edition of FITCuba 2019 and Spain the guest country.
As one of the best fairs carried out to date, the Cuban Minister of Tourism, Manuel Marrero, described the 38th edition of the International Tourism Fair of Cuba, which ended at Plaza Las Terrazas in Cayo Santa María, and which included with the participation of 3319 professionals from the tourism industry from 62 countries, 178 of them belonging to important media.
Spain was the country with the highest participation with 118, the United States with 98, Mexico with 95 and the United Kingdom with 52 participants, among the most relevant.
This 38th edition of FITCuba 2018 was a favorable occasion to promote the destination Villa Clara, and to get interested to important tour operators the inclusion of the Cities of Sagua La Grande and Remedios in the seasonal catalogs. Also several foreign companies showed their intention to sign agreements of understandings for the administration of hotels.
At the closing of FITCuba 2018, the owner of tourism announced that the upcoming fair will be dedicated to Havana for its 500 years of existence, to Spain as the guest of honor and to the modality of events and incentives.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain, Juan José Buitrago de Benito, thanked the appointment of his country and promised to work together with the Cuban Ministry of Tourism to ensure Spanish participation with high quality.
Finally the Minister of Tourism, Manuel Marreró, thanked all those who participated in this important event, tour operators, airlines, travel agencies, the press, hotel groups, cadres and specialists, and very special to the people of Villa Clara who put the greatest of his efforts to achieve success.
Cuba showed the world a completely renovated tourist product, with a high capacity to offer a safe, welcoming and attractive tourism.
